Shadow Films has been in existence since 1989, when the company was formed in Sydney, Australia. In 1993, the company returned home to South Africa, where it re-registered and has traded successfully for more than 18 years.
With 28 years’ experience, and an outstanding track record, we can handle any aspect of film, television and AV production. We proactively seek to create ideas and concepts tailor-made for each client, to add value and provide cost effective solutions to marketing and brand requirements. We aim for long-term relationships that allow us to better understand your business – and your market.
We combine talent, research and experience to create extraordinary images that create an impact far beyond the description of words. We research and prepare well, trust our vision and instincts, communicate relentlessly, and embrace collaboration.
Our small size as a company means we can act swiftly and efficiently, and we hire in specialized services and equipment as required. We are committed to the values of creativity, quality, and economy (CQE).
We work from the United Kingdom to Saudi Arabia, from Senegal to India, from Afghanistan to Swaziland. We can handle a range of work from high profile television commercials or corporate videos with complex logistics (such as a multi-camera shoot involving ships, helicopters and a large cast) right down to smaller requirements. Just ask.
Our exposure to many international clients means that we are global players with a local perspective. Shadow Films is a founding member of the Independent Producers’ Organisation (IPO), and David serves on the Executive Committee of the SA Screen Federation (SASFED) and is a member of the Documentary Filmmakers’ Association (DFA). He has been involved in training and industry initiatives for 25 years.
